EFT: A to Z Video Series [U] Unspoken

In the EFT tool kit we have many variations on how to therapeutically employ distancing to make sessions safe and powerful. This video shows how to do this with the Movie Technique which involves preventing the client from speaking about the event, not asking for emotions or where they feel it in the body. Once the triggers have been neutralized the client can then test the work by trying to feel it or see it with intensity. In this session, Alina Frank works with a woman who has a fear of being judged because she’ll do something wrong. This belief is set in place because of the events in the client’s life. This is the difference between specific tapping for full resolution of an issue versus many of the global scripted versions of tapping seen in the mainstream which result people seeing that they haven’t completely taken care of the problem. This can be very frustrating and can give people the idea that EFT doesn’t work when the real problem is that they were being too global. This video is not a substitute for live in-person training in EFT aka Emotional Freedom Techniques aka Tapping. The intention here is to 1. Educate the public at large about the quality work done in a real unedited EFT session 2. Have students/mentees of EFT learn different concepts/skills 3. Use as a tap along Borrowing Benefits exercise. To use this video as a way to “borrow benefits” for yourself, write down something that’s bothering you. Give it an intensity level of 0-10. Put that aside and just focus on tapping and repeating what’s being said. Don’t think about what you’ve written. After the session is over look back over at what you’ve written and feel the change.
