Recently a TikTok video therapist got raked across the coals when they complained on the social media platform about her clients “trauma-dumping” on her. In this podcast we discuss the problem with this concept and tie in the common phenomenon that EFT practitioners get to experience in sessions when a client gets drawn into a “trauma-pull” response. We discuss important considerations and deeper understanding for why this may occur and tips on how to best respond in the interest of client safety.
