Why Creating a Niche Specialty for your EFT Business can be so Powerful

Specializing or niching your EFT practice supports you in being recognized as an expert in that particular field. What field you might ask. This can be as varied as your interest or passions allow. Your niche can also be broader or more specific. A small sampling could be broader, for example women struggling with emotional eating or athletes seeking to enhance their performance or parents working to find a healthier work/life balance. Tighter niching can focus even more specific demographics, such as artists struggling to overcome poverty consciousness or post-divorce dads searching to find a new partner or stressed out parents of children with learning disabilities, etc.
One of the concerns we often hear from practitioners who might be exploring a niche is the question of whether they want to only work with a single problem for all of their clients. This is just not true. A niche practice as a marketing approach raises your reputation and ability to be recognized and seen and invited to be guests for podcasts and summits and presentations. However, every client who comes in with a problem they are suffering from, i.e. fear of flying…every one of them will have different root causes that might include experiences of being trapped, fear of death, issues and past experiences about loss of control, claustrophobic issues and so much more. Also, success with clients and those various personal issues will have them refer friends and colleagues and maybe even result in invitations for you to speak simply on EFT or other issues that have nothing to do with fear of flying.
Niching your business can help you attract clients who are seeking help with specific issues or challenges. It helps you reach those people suffering from a challenge that they are not overcoming with the tools they have. It allows you to promote yourself and attract people to you that may have no familiarity with EFT but are online searching for solutions to their problem and significantly enhances you presence to those outside of the EFT aware world. It can also help you command higher fees for your services. For example, if you specialize in changing careers, you can help clients tap on fears related to losing income, feeling inadequate in a new position, or concern that the change will be taxing on their family.
Creating a niche focus allows you to differentiate yourself in a crowded market. There are many life coaches, energy practitioners and therapeutic practitioners out there. By specializing in a particular area, you can stand out and be more memorable to potential clients. This can also make it easier for clients to understand the value you can offer and how you can help them achieve their goals.
Also, specializing in a niche can help you build a community of like-minded individuals. By focusing on a specific area, you can connect with other professionals or individuals who share your interests and expertise that may well be outside of the EFT world.. This can be a great way to network, collaborate, and share resources. Then YOU become the EFT “go to” person in communities that may have little EFT awareness.
Finally, specializing in a niche can help you stay motivated and engaged in your work. When you’re passionate about a particular topic, it can be more rewarding and fulfilling to work with clients in that area. This can help you maintain your energy and enthusiasm as a coach, which can be essential for delivering high-quality services to your clients.
Overall, specializing and creating a niche can be a valuable strategy for EFT practitioners looking to build a successful and fulfilling business. It can help you attract the right clients, differentiate yourself in a crowded market, build a community, and stay motivated in your work.
We receive requests like this all the time: “Who do you know who specializes in _____? Of course we could offer hundreds of practitioners who could likely help them with the problem they are having. Sometimes the request is limited to a practitioner in a geographical region. Sometimes they are looking for a licensed mental health care practitioner. But now with so many individuals open to working on a Zoom platform, the scope of possible practitioners is enormous. I will tell you that my brain immediately starts scrolling through my internal database of practitioners who are not only skillful but especially I think, Who do I know based on what I observe online or know personally who specialize in that problem?” That is the advantage of niching. Another is even when a person sees/listens to your content, even if they don’t personally have that life challenge, the specific solution you are offering may well be of help to their family member or friend that they share your information with as they make the mental connection between their loved one’s problem and your possible solution.
How You Can Effectively Market Your EFT Business:
Networking: Attend events, join local professional organizations, and connect with other professionals in your niche to build your network and get referrals. In-person events allow you to have direct, face-to-face interaction with potential clients, partners, and other professionals in your field. This can help you build relationships and connections that may be more difficult to establish online. Have a brief, attention-grabbing summary of your business, aka elevator speech, ready to share with others. Pay attention to what others have to say, and be genuinely interested in their businesses and professional goals. Remember that networking is about building relationships, not just selling your products or services. After the event, make sure to send a quick email or LinkedIn message thanking the people you met for their time and reminding them of your conversation.
Credibility and Authority: Speaking or presenting at a live event can help you establish yourself as an expert in your field and build credibility and authority. In person events or at least live online events offer the greatest opportunity to “feel” you and get a sense of whether they can trust you. This is critical because you are selling you.
Public speaking: Share your expertise by speaking at events or conferences. This can help you reach a larger audience and establish yourself as a thought leader in your field. In-person events can be a more personal and memorable experience for attendees. They can help you stand out and make a lasting impression. Live events often provide plenty of opportunities to meet new people. Focus on connecting with people and offering value rather than constantly pitching your business. Engaging with an audience, especially with live events, allows you to engage with an audience in real-time, which can be more dynamic and interactive than other forms of marketing.
Online marketing: Create a website and use social media to promote your business and connect with potential clients. Using video is by far the best way for people to sense if they feel comfortable and safe with you, which of course is critical in our field.
Content marketing: Create helpful, informative content, such as blog posts or videos, that demonstrates your expertise and helps establish you as an authority in your field.
Email marketing: Collect email addresses from potential clients and send them newsletters or promotional materials to keep them informed about your business. Yes, email marketing can still be an effective way to reach and engage with potential clients. When done correctly, email marketing can have a high return on investment. According to the Direct Marketing Association, the average ROI for email marketing is $38 for every $1 spent.
Collaboration: Partner with other professionals or businesses to offer joint services or bundle your services with their products.
