The topic of de-cluttering feels relevant amidst many people’s resolution to “clean their act up” that appears after every January 1st. Even more poignant to this article is the role that underlying unresolved emotions and personal history that come to play in the attempt to de-clutter and the role that EFT can play in assisting this potentially healing process.
Are You Tapping on the Karate Chop or Side of Hand Point? A few years ago I had an experience of an Asian student confirming for me something I’d been feeling for some time and that is that the Karate Chop (KC) point in EFT was offensive. At this point I’d as likely call that point KC as I would do the “tomahawk chop” at a sports event, or paint my face black. It just feels disgusting and wrong. I did some research and uncovered the following:
new study released this week suggests a significant connection between childhood trauma and cellular aging. The length of chromosomal end-caps, called telomeres, are increasingly being found to be related to increased risk of disease and shorter lifespans and were found to be in this study most likely to be affected by the predominance of childhood emotional trauma.

A new study recently performed by Maharaj at Akamai University was published in the peer reviewed journal, Energy Psychology Theory, Research and Treatment, that documents altered gene expression immediately after a 50 minute of EFT.
